I started this when my dog got sick, and after he passed on I didnt want to finish it... but then I did. I kind of like it too... been a while since Ive done something in pencil that I thought was decent enough to show off.
So... mechanical pencil, colored pencil, acrylic paints. I was going to do something different with the stuff leaking from her pendant, but then I got lazy. Not too sure if I like that part or not...
I know this was during the summer, but I'm really sorry about your dog. That being said, I think you did a gorgeous job on the picture - the shading is cleanly and beautifully done.
A wonderful piece, Morganne! I'm glad you finished it, and I'm sorry about your dog. I still vividly remember my first dog's last day when I was six. Actually, I'd like to not think about that any more right now.
The hair is brilliant. Just bloody brilliant. I love the art neuveaux (Did I spell that right?) feeling of it. The rest of the linework and the subtle shading is also top notch. The only things I can think of to give any real critique on, and this is only because I took your "Critique Encouraged" to heart and studied the picture closely, are the thumb, which looks a little stunted, the leaky stuff, which does look a bit lazy compared to your regular work, and the bits where the colouring hasn't filled in properly over the pencil lines. This is all mostly severe nit-picking, though.

What the heck, this deserves a
